Just wanted to let you all know that we just got word that probably, as far as we know, there will only be about a two week delay in the submission-appointment process on Danil's country's part during the transition to the new processing office.
Or whatever they are doing over there.
So, yay. Our fear was that there would be a much longer delay in our process if we couldn't get submitted before June 12th, but it seems that all is going to be well.
If we get our I-171H form back mid-July, which would be the normal processing time, we could be submitted by August. Which means we may be traveling Augustish-Septemberish. Of course, if we get that form back sooner because of the sweet talking we've been doing with the fine folks in immigration, we may get it back in June, which means we'd have a chance at a Julyish travel date. These are all very calculated dates, as you can see.
Whew. At least we don't have to be wishy-washy on when we need to have to ask people to help watch our kids while we are gone! Then it would be REALLY frustrating.
