Date Morning!

Bryan and I had a Saturday morning date this weekend while Gaga and Papa took the boys to Extreme Play (a bounce house playground deal).  And because we are hopeless romantics, we spent the morning at his office, organizing our dossier documents, signing and copying things, researching steps, ordering our birth certificates and marriage licenses, and putting all sorts of papers into plastic sleeves and file folders.

It was glorious.

No, really, it was.  It was SO NICE to be able to sit down for an uninterrupted time to wrap our heads around all our to-do's.  And except for the one time that I had to tell Bryan to please stop playing that light saber noise on your Droid, it was quiet and peaceful.  That man can only be serious for so long.

And TODAY we go and get our passports done.  And then we wait forever to get our actual passports so that I can fill in our passport number on all our paperwork.

Note to potential adoptive parents:  Get your passports early- like before you even decide to adopt, because the expediting fee plus the processing fee plus the overnight shipping fee makes a $130 passport into a $200 passport, and you STILL have to wait 6 weeks to get it.

  2. OH I am so glad. I just checked RR and saw Danil had a family commit to him. I am so thankful. Praise the Lord! I am praying for your family. I have been praying for Danil for a while now as he touched my heart when I initially saw him on RR. Thanks for stepping out. Will be praying for you as you take this journey! April Newcomb.
