My DSAC Roots and Shoots sisters suggested this, so I figured, why not?
Up for bidding is one quart size jar of fresh, raw honey from the bees in our backyard!! Bryan has been beekeeping for 3 years now, and this local honey is the best.ever. It doesn't even compare to the corn-syrupy sludge that you get in the grocery store. The only catch is that we won't be harvesting the honey until August 2011, so if you win, you have to wait for your product (but it is worth it!).
Raw honey is known for it's antibacterial and anti-fungal properties, as well as its ability to ease allergy symptoms.
*Bonus weird fact: doctors are using raw honey on burn wounds, incisions, and other skin ailments. We've used it on poor Chase's extreme Hirshprung's-related diaper rash, and it WORKS!
