2- Laurie read an article the following week about a couple Konstantin and Angela) in Charlotte who ministered to local people who had immigrated from U* to Charlotte.
3- Laurie emailed the couple in Charlotte, who later met with us once and gave us some ideas about travel in U*, and gave us the email address of a couple in U* that they knew (Leonid and Luba) who spoke some English and would be a good contact for us.
4- We contacted the local U* couple, who took us to their daughter (Diana) and son-in-law's (Nate's) church, and then to their home, where we met their other daughters (Vera and Masha).
5- Vera brought us to a meeting of her outreach group that ministers to orphans in K****** this evening.
6- We met a couple (Brenda and Willard) who are missionaries from the US and work with Vera's group, and who used to live in NC and Florida.
...and THAT is how we ended up with a ride back to our apartment this evening from our new friends here, after a really awesome time spent learning about this group of 20-30 servants and the work that they do as the hands and feet of our Heavenly Father, and being honored as the recipients of an incredible prayer from them for a smooth process and a quick return home with our newest edition.
Love how He lines us up to be exactly where we are supposed to be!
