Day 4- Continued

We met the Hazletons and the Moniers at the cafeteria restaurant again.  We're getting good at trying new things.
Food successes:
A pancake-crepe thing folded into a triangle filled with apples and cinnamon, topped with...sour cream!
Sausage and fried potatoes
Some kind of grain, like quinoa or bulgar or something, seasoned, with a chicken cutlet with melted cheese on top.

Food Misses:
A pancake rolled around some kind of nut/poppyseed/bean paste with raisins (maybe?).  It was semi-sweet, topped with sour cream...but the texture was kind of weird.
A wedge of layered pancakes, soaked in a creamy dill sauce (like that cold soup I had the other night).  Too herby and soggy.  Not a favorite.

We walked a bit after dinner to a big grocery store called Billa, where the Hazletons (another RR family) showed us which chocolate their guide Nikko had recommended.  We learned how to lock our backpacks in the lockers provided at the front of the store before we went shopping.

Afterwards, the Moniers went home, and we went with the Hazletons to find the Illy coffee bar.  Bryan and I tried to order a slice of cheesecake, but the waitress said they were out (I think?) and suggested we try this cheese "casserole" thing.  It looked like a quick bread of some sort, maybe a danish type of thing, so we said that was fine.  When we got it, it turned out to be a hot loaf of baked cottage cheese and apricots.  It tasted good, but Bryan couldn't quite handle the texture.  Carson, the Hazleton's 18 month old, really like it, though, so he and I shared it.

We walked back to the apartment (I think we are putting on probably 3 miles a day!!) and did laundry and watched movies until 3am.  Oh, and I washed a new shirt with our darks that bled all over everything else and dyed my jeans, Bryan's t-shirt, and one of my other new shirts.  In further photos, please ignore our tye-dyed appearance :)
