Day 15

Bryan's still not feeling so hot, so at the last minute he decided to stay home from the orphanage today and I went to see Danila on my own.

When I got there, I asked a nanny who was outside with the kids where Danila was, and she pointed down the sidewalk.  So, I thought that he was out with maybe his grandparents, and I set off to find him.  Turns out, she was actually pointing to his groupa, and when I walked back without Danila, Valentin was there, calling for me, with Tatiana on the phone.  Oops.

Tatiana said that the nanny said that Danila had tummy problems this morning, and to limit his snacks to crackers and NO juice.  Done.  That probably explains why he was a little tired yesterday.  So, little man comes out of the house and we set off for our pavilion to go play for a while.

He was definitely still 'off'- quieter, lower energy than the Danila that we are used to.  He sat quietly as we read books, then drew with the dry erase marker for a good 45 minutes and commanded me to "clean, clean, clean" whenever he wanted an empty page.  We didn't do a whole lot more than that, but he was extra cuddly, which was nice.

It was time to go very soon, and we walked back to the groupa hand in hand.

It was kind of lonely without Bryan, but also our visits are feeling like "normal"- we're getting into a true family groove and not just a visitor groove.  Love it, and can't wait to bring that feeling back to home.

Our RR friends, the Moniers, had their court date today and they are now the proud parents of their little boy, Dima.  We are so incredibly happy for them, and also filled with a longing for a court date of our very own...we know it will happen for us soon.  Patience was just never my strong suit! :)
