So, the rest of our day was not as much fun as this morning, but still pretty interesting...
Tatiana had set up an appointment for Bryan at a clinic...she is SO WoNDERFUL and helpful- she made the appointment, had Valentin ready to drive us there, and served as Bryan's translator for the entire time we were there. Thank you, Tatiana and Valentin!!
From what I understand, there is no health insurance here, so you pay as you go. Thankfully, it is pretty reasonable. Bryan paid $13 up front before he saw the doctor. Then we went and waited in a hallway, where the exam rooms were situated right off the hallway, so when a patient leaves the room, someone goes and cleans it, and then you can enter for your appointment.
Bryan said that it was interesting what we take for granted...for example, you know the little flashlights for looking into your nose and ears and mouth? The doctor has a mirror that focuses light instead. Different.
She ordered an x-ray of his sinuses, and we went downstairs and paid for that before waiting in another hallway for the x-ray room. We didn't have to wait long for the xray, but then we had to wait for her to read it and write the findings on a little piece of paper that we took back upstairs to the original doctor.
The original doctor prescribed a bunch of things, then sent us on our way. We stopped at the Anteka- pharmacy :) and Tatiana helped Bryan pick everything up, then wrote an email to him telling him HOW to take everything (there are like 5 different meds he needs!). Did I tell you how awesome she is?
More sleeping this afternoon, and now we are taking up all of McDonald's bandwidth while I upload pictures for the blog and we try to Skype with the kids, oh, and catch up on all the Facebook activity. It's been a few days without traipsing around the city, and even though we feel kind of slovenly, my feet are happier than they have been in a while, and we've both taken care of huge chunks of our Game of Thrones books :)
Til tomorrow...

It's definitely different... we had similar experiences at medical clinics in UAE. It was funny to go in and you were literally in the doctor's OFFICE. His desk right there in the middle of the room, telephone and all! Hope he feels better soon!
