40 Days, 40 Nights

I kind of thought, you know, Biblically, that 40 was a special number.  And after not getting any news on Monday, and then nothing on Tuesday...well, I thought maybe we were just waiting for the magic 40.  Maybe we'll get our court date today.

Maybe we'll get some really awesome news today, and we'll be able to move forward and look at this day as a turning point.

Or not.  We could just not.  We could just count it as one more day down, because again, there is no news.

I'm trying so hard not to be discouraged.  These blog entries are starting to get depressing.

Thank goodness for the positives to take our minds off things today, though:

1.  A fantastic visit with Danya this morning...the weather is warm again, the skies were blue, and he was smiley and happy, a total JOY to be around.  Today's new trick: Danya will say, "One, two, three, GO!" While he is on the swing.  Oh- and he also asked for "Cookie, please.  Thank you," using sign and English- with NO prompting!

Other random fact:  We found out that Our Favorite Nanny's name is Luda.  She's awesome.

2.  Nate took us on his walking tour of Kharkov this afternoon.  We must have walked for 3 hours, had some history lessons, and personal stories.  We even got to hear his testimony and how he ended up being a missionary here all the way from Cleveland, OH.  Neat stuff.

3.  After our tour, we ended up at Nate and Diana's for good pizza and 5 rounds of Sequence (in which the girls wiped the floor with the guys.  Booyah!)

4.  Word from home that both Ian and Chase are doing fantastic in school right now...great reports from both of their teachers  :)  Those are my guys!!

That is all.  Peace out :)
