It's only lunchtime here, so we haven't heard any appeal news yet. We usually get our report at the end of the day.
I had a good cry last night looking out the window over Kharkov, and I may or may not have told the the city and the country off for making us wait this long. My rational mind knows that everyone is doing the best that they can for us. My irrational mind is just generally in a bad mood.We visited with Danila this morning (it is good to be back to every day visits- have I mentioned that?!) Babushka and Dedushka were there for a little while, and they bowed out when they had the opportunity.
Our new activity has been a game of Memory that we picked up in a toy store here. We started with 2 sets of matches, and are up to 5 sets now. He doesn't quite get the concept of the game yet, but we've been working on finding matching pairs for a few visits, and today he did it! We set out 5 different cards in front of him, and then hand him one card at a time and compare it to the cards that are out, saying, "Nyet, nyet, nyet...DA!" So today, he did it on his own; he started picking out the matches accurately! Smartie-pants!!
We love seeing the lightbulb turn on for him- he's such a smart little kid.
We're off to Calvary Chapel this evening for Thursday night worship. Hope to see the Laynes there, back from their SDA appointment. Til tomorrow...
